Baby Boy Coming This Summer

Oops, forgot about the blog for a little while!  Well, everyone already knows, but here is the posting of record anyway:  We have a baby boy on the way (thank goodness for no girl cooties)!  Here are his first two pictures:

He's getting bigger now and making Mom more and more uncomfortable with "timely" kicks and back flips.  This gives us hope that he'll be athletic!  We know he already likes dirt bikes, he wouldn't stop kicking at this year's Supercross everytime they roared past us, so that's a start.

We Built a Dog House!

Now that we are in a real house, we decided to convert Kobe and Shyann to outside dogs.  First on our Honey-Do list, therefore, was to build them a warm, comfortable, and spacious doghouse in the garage.  After a little bit of designing and about 3 nights of build time we completed an insulated and heated dog "penthouse".

Day One.  Alicen helped cut and chubby Shy gave it a weight test!

Day Two.  Insulation started going in and the dogs started to realize that this was their new home.

 

After.  As you can see, they've got their own fenced deck where they can eat and stretch.  On the inside they've got a bed and a heated mat to lay against when it gets cold.  The temperature floats between 65-70 degrees inside.  In the spring we will be cutting a dog door to the outside so they can enjoy their new big backyard all day long.  Kobe and Shy love it!

New House

In November, right before Thanksgiving, we bought our first home in Riverton, UT!  After living like college students for 5 years, we decided to finally grow up and take the leap.  We're pretty much all settled now, minus any wall decorations, so....

Besides these we've got three rooms upstairs, an office/mancave downstairs, and a big garage for the toys.  Our future plans include a gas firepit on the back patio (thanks Mom and Dad!), fireplace in the basement, finish the basement bathroom, and a SportsCourt in the yard (shhh....don't tell Alicen!).  We're excited to throw some parties and what-not so visitors are always welcome!
